Last Day at Mueller

The last morning was quite a surprise. Unbeknownst to us, some time in the night the sky brought us a fluffy white gift. We woke up to bright sunshine and trees heavy with snow. It was beautiful. I only took a handful of pictures as we raced against the clock and clouds to get packed up and on the road. Plus we wanted to make one more stop at the Visitor Center so P could get his Junior Naturalist button for completing his workbook. He worked so hard on it and his drawing was of the beetle trails in the stump from our hike. He was very proud.

We will be coming back to this place. It is wonderful. Hopefully next time we'll get to experience more of the warm weather and take more hikes. If you're in the area, I highly recommend a stay.
