Hannah Banana & The Houston Zoo

So here is a funny story about the situational poetry of life...

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away two little girls lived across the street from each other. They were great friends and spent their days catching frogs and climbing trees in the summer heat. They roamed the alleys and made haunted houses in the neighbor's garage and had brilliant make believe in the wooden fort that loomed tall in the backyard.

The summer between 1st and 2nd grade separated the little friends when one of them moved away. To be honest it was a very, very long time before the little girl who was left behind found another best friend. She missed her pal for years.

Fast forward about 40 something years and with the invention of Facebook, the two friends were able to connect again. Remarkably the two have so many similarities and share so many common interests. Friendship bloomed once more.

This October the two friends got to spend a magical day together at The Houston Zoo, where one of the friends is the Avian Curator and animal super hero. It was one of the most spectacular days with so many special experiences for the friends, my mommy and a little future zoologist.

I truly can not say enough thank yous to my very first best friend, Hannah Banana Bailey!!!!
