Fall Crew Trip 2019

Pax goes to an amazing school - the Rocky Mountain School for Expeditionary Learning - and they take 2 big overnight crew trips a year; one in fall, one in spring. This year I was selected to be a parent chaperone for the fall crew trip and it was awesome!!!!!

One week, 2 states, 26 4th & 5th graders, 4 parents, 1 teacher, 1 WFR, 2 adventure coordinators and soooo much fun!!! The first leg of the trip was to Rifle CO to explore waterfalls and caves with loads of hiking and camping. It was cold and it was magical. The second leg was to Moab UT for some rafting on the CO River and more camping. Not as cold, but even more magical! Plus a little fox walked on my face during a wind storm!!!!

All the kiddos were incredible! They showed so miuch grit and determination. They overcame adversity and homesickness and really bonded as a crew. I could not be more proud of all of them!

These are some of the pics I took. Unfortunately I can only show pics of Pax and his good buddy Roanan - as his mom is cool with it. That means a lot of our adventure is reserved for our keepsake only. Hope you enjoy!
