Because Science...

Oobleck is a non-Newtonian fluid; it has properties of both liquids and solids. You can slowly dip your hand into it like a liquid, but if you squeeze the oobleck or punch it, it will feel solid. The name oobleck comes from the Dr. Seuss book, “Bartholomew and the Oobleck.

Mardi Gras Kindergarten Style

While 1 million people ascended on downtown Denver to whoop and hollar for the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos, our little class to a walk over to Tennyson St for the teeniest and most adorable Mardi Gras parade.

The day was chock full of expeditionary fun. We had our very own Abbey Road moment, stopped to check out some art in a gallery window, played on the playground, got to share beads with the teeny parade folk, went to a bar to hear some jazz, came back to class to discover some mealworms had metamorphosed into dark-wing beetles and then ended the day with King Cake - tiny baby and all!

What a fantastic day!
